Monica Saldivar Returns To Victoria After 11 Years For Tejas Fest
Thousands showed up in downtown Victoria on Friday night for Tejas Fest. It was an awesome night of Tejano and Norteño cumbia music. One thing I love about Tejas Fest and the event organizers is their support for the ladies of Tejano music. Last year, they showcased Madison Pulido.
Monica Saldivar returns to Victoria after 11 years.
It had been 11 years since Monica performed in Victoria. Last time, she performed as a track artist at the Memorial Weekend Bash. This time she brought the whole band and gave us some incredible Tejano music, including her latest "Pero Me Acuerdo de Ti." Check out a portion of her set from Friday night.
Monica Saldivar has won 6 Tejano Music Awards.
Her talents have earned her 6 Tejano Music Awards, including a big year in 2025! These include Female Vocalist of the Year, Video of the Year for "Ya Lo Sé Que Te Vas," and Collaboration of the Year, "Pienso En Ti" alongside Texas Latino.
Monica Saldivar gave us chills to close out her set.
Alongside her original music, she also covered Selena, but it was the end of the night that had everyone talking. She close out her set with a very powerful tribute to Dolly Parton.
