THROWBACK THURSDAY: A Saturday Afternoon at Victoria Mall
The Victoria Mall has changed so much over the years. The eighties and nineties were an awesome time to be alive and experience the true Mall culture. Back in the day, if you were a teenager, you would spend a Saturday afternoon hanging out at the mall with your friends and no parents! Your parents would drop you off with $10 and literally said, I will be back in 5 hours and we would never get bored!
Our parents would drop us off at the mall on Saturday night.
Back then, hours would go by as you played video games at Tilt and Aladdin's Castle, got the latest CD or cassette at Disk Jockey or Camelot, and you even scored the latest 4th of July tee at Old Navy. Of course, you can't forget about the majestic carousel at the food court.
So many places have called Victoria Mall home.
We can't forget businesses such as Radio Shack, Corn Dog 7, Athletic Attic, Gadzooks, Chelsea's Street Pub; there was even a Mr Gatiis at the Mall for a short time. The list could go on and on.
If you are really old school, you remember that there used to be a Walgreens and Woolworth's, and a place called Miller's Outpost that used to sell denim.
