The stuff of nightmares. Over the weekend, two girls were riding a Ferris Wheel and fell out at the Harvest Festival in New Roads, Louisiana. According to reports, there were three girls riding the Ferris Wheel when the car flipped over.

The two girls were airlifted to the hospital.

Two girls fell 15-20 feet, while the third girl was able to hang on until spectators were able to safely catch her. Officials treated the two girls before they were airlifted to a hospital. One has already been released, and the other young lady will be released soon.

A third girl was on the ride but managed to hold on, preventing her from falling, Thibodeaux told NBC News. To Thibodeaux's knowledge, the girl who held on sustained no injuries.
